The article about "journal vs. weblog," really cleared things up for me.  I now know that there is a difference in diaries and weblogs.  Diaries are about people's lives, and blogging is about where a person surfs on the internet.  I also thought that it was neat that weblogs have been traced back to the beginnings of the internet.

Chris Alden's view on weblogs was interesting.  I never would think to start someone that has never been on the internet in weblogging.  I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea though.  You could find articles that interest you really fast.  I remember when I first showed my mother how to use the internet.  She took forever to learn how to use it.  It was actually very funny.

John Dvorak's article kind of described why blogging was so popular.  It relieves stress, gives you need to share, and it makes people that want to be writers, there stuff is published.

Leslie Walker's article about blogging, was very informative. It explained a little background about blogging, and then talked about this new journaling thing that so many people are doing. After reading this article, I felt that I should have known more about blogging then I actually do.

The Camworld reading, seemed to kind of ramble. I'm not really that happy about doing journals, but I'm willing to try new things. This person is like a diehard fan of blogging. I have nothing against it, but I didn't really care for the article because it rambled so much about blogging.

I kind of liked the article by Meg Hourihan. She made me kind of think again about blogging. How it was used in 9/11. I think in a time like that journals are very good to have. She also explained what everyone uses blogging for and kind of made me think that it can be very interesting.

I came to North Dakota State University hoping to seek a great education in engineering. I heard that this school was very good at this. So far it has been a very good experience. I look at people that don't go to college, and I wonder where they will be at in five years or so. I see myself having a successfull job, and that is what I hope to get from college.

When I think back to high school, there were great teachers, and then some not so great ones. The greats were the kind of people that you could openly talk to. They were funny, yet serious at the same time. They made class interesting. This is what made great teachers. to me, remembering

Rebecca Blood's article "Weblog's: A History and Perspective," was kind of interesting.  I had never heard of weblogging until a couple days ago, and didn't know what it was until this morning.  After reading her article, I realized that weblogs were actually a pretty serious thing.  It seems that many people use these to tell their life stories.

Melvin Levinson's article "Needed: A New Literacy" was kind of a boring article.  He had a point with his ideas, but his article wasn't written in a very interesting manner.  I liked his idea of having more sensory ideas in the classroom.  It was kind of neat to read his thoughts that reading and writing are really more than just reading and writing.
